What is myst.so?
myst.so is an interactive portrait browser and downloader built on top of PMDCollab's SpriteCollab — the community sprite resource for Pokémon Mystery Dungeon. Browse over 1,000 Pokémon across all nine generations, each with their own unique set of emotions.
History of Pokémon Mystery Dungeon
Pokémon Mystery Dungeon is a series of dungeon-crawling RPGs where you play as a Pokémon rather than a trainer. Across all six released games, the series became well loved for its expansive world building, memorable soundtrack, and expressive portraits.
While the development of new games slowed after Super Mystery Dungeon, the 2020 HD remake of Rescue Team DX on Switch introduced the series to a new generation and brought renewed interest in the series. Now, me and many other enthusiasts are patiently waiting for the franchise to introduce a new title.
PMDCollab & SpriteCollab
PMDCollab is a collaborative project providing tools and resources for fans of Pokémon Mystery Dungeon to create their own ROMhacks, fangames, sprite comics, and more. SpriteCollab is their central resource for Mystery Dungeon styled portrait art and sprites.
The Artist Credits button links directly back to the SpriteCollab database. The URL generation dynamically updates based on the national Pokédex number:

Export Sizes
Every portrait can be downloaded at three sizes. Medium (500px) and large (1000px) are great for profile pictures or larger images, depending on what size you'd like.
Small exports at 128×128. These are great for Discord custom emojis, Slack reactions, or any other small image.

Portraits
Almost all portraits have 16 expressions. Moods like Normal and Happy to Pain and Teary-Eyed are available. There are a few outliers, which will be updated in the future when they are available.
